Dr. Maz Ebrahimi attended the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) and received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Upon completion of his undergraduate studies, he entered Nova Southeastern University (NSU), College of Dental Medicine in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. After receiving his DDS degree, Dr. Maz then chose to continue his studies at NSU by completing an intense 24-month certification program in advanced endodontics.

In 2008, after completing his endodontic residency, Dr. Maz wanted to provide mentorship for future dental professionals, thus he began to instruct the NSU dental students. Now that Dr. Maz is back in his hometown of Los Angeles, California, he continues teaching at UCLA, College of Dental Medicine, at the pre-doctoral and post-graduate levels. Dr. Maz currently practices in Beverly Hills, CA and is certified in moderate IV sedation to better accommodate his patients during root canal treatments. Dr. Maz is a member of the American Dental Association, the Los Angeles Dental Society, and the Iranian-American Dental Association.
